Homemade Fruit Smoothie Hair Mask

Dry-Hair Mask : slather your hair in this rich mask to bring back its luster.

Ingredients:

• 1/2 Banana (potassium softens hair shaft)
• 1/4 Avocado (naturally rich moisturizer)
• 1/4 Cantaloupe

• 1 tbsp Yogurt
• 1 Vitamin E capsule (optional)
• 2 Tbsp honey (natural moisturizer)
• 3 Tbsp buttermilk (strengthens hair follicles)

Directions:

1. Blend 1/2 a banana, 1/4 avocado, 1/4 cantaloupe, 1 tablespoon wheat germ oil and 1 tablespoon yogurt;

3. Apply to hair from roots to tips.
4. Leave in hair for 15 minutes.
5. Rinse.
6. Use twice a month to maintain healthy hair.

Avocado Rosemary Hair Masks :

Ingredients:

• one avocado
• fresh organic rosemary.
• Break open a vitamin E capsule
• olive (for extra dry or thick hair)
• a lighter oil (like almond or apricot)
• four drops of tea tree two drops of peppermint essential oil.
• four drops of orange essential oil
• two drops of peppermint essential oil.

Directions:

1. Smash up one avocado with fresh organic rosemary.
2. Break open a vitamin E capsule and mix that in.
3. Add a splash of olive oil for extra dry or thick hair or add a splash of a lighter oil (like almond or apricot) for thinner, less dry hair. Don’t add too much oil, or you’ll get a conditioner, not a masque. The texture should be sticky and thick not runny.
4. Drop in four drops each of tea tree and orange essential oil and two drops of peppermint essential oil.
5. Apply to your hair and let it sit for 30 minutes or so. You could wear a shower cap - but I don’t believe in using them. I just clip my hair up in a twist - it works fine and never drips. Rinse out well in cool water for shiner less fizzy hair.

Cucumber & Yogurt Hair Masks :

Note: This masque is drippy, other than adding some base like flour (don’t do that) I have no idea how to thicken it up. So, you may want to take a nice bath as you let this soak into your hair.
Cucumber is also known to fight off chlorine damage well if used weekly.

Ingredients:

• 1/2 cup organic plain yogurt
• 1/2 of an average sized peeled cucumber
• a tablespoon of honey
• a few drops of lavender essential oil
• a few drops of chamomile

Directions:

1. Mix in a blender: 1/2 cup organic plain yogurt, 1/2 of an average sized peeled cucumber, a tablespoon or so of honey, a few drops of lavender essential oil, and chamomile. You have some different choices regarding the chamomile. You can chop fresh really fine, boil fresh to a reduction, or add some essential oil of chamomile. I usually have added the oil, or shopped fresh. Boiling is too much extra work.
2. Apply to your head, clip hair up and soak in the tub for 30 minutes.
3. Rinse in cool water for softer, smoother hair.

Homemade Cucumber Hair Mask

As the weather gets colder, you may find your hair becoming brittle and dull. To return the lustrous shine to your locks, use a homemade hair mask. Try this Cucumber to revive your beautiful hair this season.

Ingredients:
• 1 egg
• 1 eggshell's worth of olive oil
• 1 quarter of a peeled cucumber

Directions:

1. Blend the egg, olive oil and peeled cucumber.
2. Spread evenly through your hair, leave on for 10 minutes, then thoroughly rinse.
3. For the best results year-round, continue this treatment monthly.

Homemade Aloevera Hair Masks

Take the case of split ends in the hair, for instance. You just can’t ignore it and leave it to its fate. If left untreated, it leads to poor hair-growth and hair-loss. So make an effort to get rid of split ends with alacrity.
Aloe-vera, the natural healer is a fantastic herb; it is not just good your skin but for your hair as well. Even Cleopatra was believed to have rated it highly as a beauty therapy herb.
Aloe Gels are used to bring shine and smoothness in the hair.
Frizz Control for Curly Hair.

Ingredients:

• 4 big leaves of aloevera
• 250 grams of coconut oil

Directions:

1. Aloe leaves are thick, succulent and have a transparent pulp. Slit open the leaf and scrape out the juicy pulp.

Directions:

2. Leave it on for 2-3 hours

Directions:

1. Squeeze ginger root through press to obtain one tablespoon of juice.

3. Apply to scalp and let dry before shampooing.
4. Repeat three times a week.

Coconut Conditioning Cuticles Mask

I still dream of the coconut oil head massages I took from old men and women in Indonesia in trade for some rupiah and a smile. Coconut keeps the dandruff away and this mask helps the kiddies avoid the mid-year lice breakout.
Coconut oil application also helps with dandruff problems too and hence much preferable to other strong medicated shampoos.

Ingredients:

• Pressed coconut oil
• Towel that is still hot, straight from the dryer

Directions:

1. Take a large chunk of coconut cream and,
2. massage it into your hair.

Tips to Make Sleek and Shiny Hair

Tips for Healthy and Shiny Hair

Beautiful hair must be shiny and healthy. Healthy, glossy, manageable hair reflects light and falls around the face beautifully, is the dream of every woman that is not so difficult to attain after all. The scalp may be oily and the hair will be dry for many people. A regular massage with fragrant oils such as patchouli, lavender and geranium will solve this problem effectively. A clean scalp ensures shining hair. Be careful while you take your head bath. Apply some natural oil to the scalp and massage for five minutes. People with oily hair experience more trouble to acquire a shiny hair than others.

Healthy shining hair makes you feel wonderful and is a great confidence booster. Vitamin A makes your scalp healthy and is good for your skin as well. It is found in vegetables especially carrots. Vitamin B and C for hair growth and hair color. Vinegar rinse should not be used frequently as it may dry out your hair. Eating plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables - especially citrus fruits and tomatoes - will help you get folic acid. Whole grain and fortified grain products, beans, and lentils also contain folic acid. A diet for healthy hair should be rich in protein as hair consists of primarily protein. Proteins will give your hair more strength and will prevent it from breaking and splitting. Eat protein rich foods like fish, meat, milk, cheese and cereals.

Hair is an important part of your appearance. Your hair needs Vitamin E for shine and you can get this much needed vitamin by incorporating brown rice, nuts, wheat germ and leafy green vegetables into your diet. Different hair textures need different ingredients to make it shiny.

There's nothing like shiny hair to make you look healthy and well-groomed. This doesn't always come naturally, so it may require a change in your beauty routine.

High-maintenance hair usually incurs the most damage because it takes more effort to achieve the desired affect. For the best results, try out simpler techniques and you'll find out what works for your hair texture.

1. Wash with Cold Water

A cold-water rinse is a great way to make dull hair shine. The cold water will close and smooth the cuticle, making hair appear shinier.

2. Wash with A Shine Enhancing Shampoo

Use a shine enhancing shampoo that is full of plenty of moisturizers and you're hair will be glowing. Heat activated shampoos and styling products will also add shine while you blow-dry. Don't forget to rinse your hair with cold water after washing for an extra shine boost and to use a clarifying shampoo every week if you regularly use styling products.

3. Keep it Conditioned

To cut down on split-ends, have it trimmed on a regular basis and hydrate your hair with conditioner to keep it in tip-top shape. Leave the conditioner in for several minutes to give it a chance to absorb.

Silicones are important conditioning ingredients that make hair smooth, soft, and shiny. However, not all silicones are created equal. The newer AminoSilicones (Amodimethicone) have an amine group at the end of the silicone chain that allows it to better adhere to damaged hair. Some are able to provide conditioning benefits that last through several shampoos and work well as a weekly treatment for color treated hair.

If your hair needs more attention, apply a hot-oil treatment once a week. Don't overuse the treatments because too much of it can cause hair to become dull and lifeless.

To further enhance the shine, you can use a finishing crème during and after blow-drying your hair.

4. Hair Mask

Apply a shine-intensifying hair mask once a week to condition and add gloss to dull ends.

5. Applying Hair Serum

Apply very small amounts of a thick gloss serum. Put a drop on your hand and spread it thinly all over your palms. Then smooth your palms over the surface of your hair.

6. Make a Natural Hair Brush

Plastic brushes for a natural boar bristle or at least a softer synthetic bristle brush. The natural brush fibers are less likely to break the hair shaft.

7. Visit Your Hairdresser

A good haircut will keep your hair healthy and will encourage shine. Your hairdresser is also the best person to speak to about the type of hair that you have and what products will enhance your natural shine.

8. Style Sleekly

Style wise, smooth and sleek straight hair is the best look for shining locks. Blow-drying with the nozzle pointed down the hair shaft and finishing with a blast of cool air is the only way to style, and finishing with a mist of shine spray will give hold and great gloss. Using a round brush when blow-drying will add smoothness to the hair follicle and give your strands some great light reflection.

9. Give Your Hair a Rest

Our hair takes a beating with all of the styling appliances and products that we use on an everyday basis. Avoid using a hair dryer and let it dry naturally. If you must use a dryer, keep it on the coolest setting and use a diffuser.

Cut down on curling iron use and opt for hot rollers when you insist on curls. This is a gentler approach for luscious, wavy tresses. To prevent scorching, don't spray your hair with hairspray before using any heated appliances.

Avoid weighing down your hair with numerous styling products. They can dry out your hair and take away the shine. Stick to one or two products, and use them sparingly. Over time, your hair will adjust and it will take less effort to pull off your desired results.

10. Styling Products for Shine

Test a few styling products designed to make your hair shiny. After washing it, pour some hair gel or leave-in conditioner in the palm of your hand and gently rub it in. Distribute it more heavily on the middle and ends than you do the roots so your hair doesn't appear dirty or oily.

Homemade Recipes Hair Mask and Hair Rinse:

Bring instant shine to your hair by lightly beating two eggs in milk. Apply to clean, damp hair, massaging in well. Leave for 10 – 15 minutes and then wash out with mild shampoo.

Recipes For Shiny Hair

To give your hair a great shine and help remove soap build up.

Blondes — Add a couple of tablespoons of lemon juice to your rinse water.

Brunettes and Redheads — Add a couple of tablespoons of apple cider vinegar to your rinse water.

Tips to Grow Your Eyelashes Naturally

Women will go to great lengths to have luscious, long lashes. Dark, full lashes highlight your eyes and can be stunning.

Eyelashes, the hair that grows from the tips of the eyelids serve the purpose of protecting your eye from hazards causing you to blink should something get too close. In addition, long eyelashes are a universal symbol of beauty. Women, who generally covet longer lashes, have ones that are typically shorter than that of men. There are many products like mascara and fake eyelashes that will make your eyelashes look longer. There are also cosmetics that promise to stimulate eyelashes as well. Meanwhile, if you want your eyelashes to grow naturally, there are some age-old tricks you can try.

Step1
Improve your diet to grow longer eyelashes naturally. Without proper nutrition, your body will cease to grow hair, fingernails and even eyelashes. Likewise, anything that makes your hair grow, will also help your eyelashes grow. For this reason, you should adopt a healthy lifestyle and take multivitamins.

Step2

Apply natural lubricants to your eyelashes to make them strong. This not only protects your eyelashes from the elements, but the coating makes them look linger. Olive oil and Vaseline are quite effective. Put these products on your eyelashes at night and wash it off in the morning.

Step3

Apply vitamin E oil to your eyelashes to stimulate growth. This vitamin is known to cause hair growth and sooth scalp irritations, so if you have eyelash loss due to irritation, this may reverse it. Apply the oil to your eyelashes with a clean eyelash brush. The act of brushing your lashes regularly may also stimulate growth.

Step4

Trimming your eyelashes can stimulate growth. Many people who have accidentally burned off their lashes or trimmed them by accident or on purpose report growing back longer and thicker lashes. Of course, you don’t want to chop off your eyelashes in an effort to make them grow back longer. Any amount of trimming should be tiny. You should cut off no more than the very tips of the lashes.
